As part of the children’s catechism, the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two year journey commencing in Grade 7 of the catechism. At the end of Grade 8 the participants receive the Sacrament and commit themselves to continue with Youth Catechism in Grade 9. During the two years the participants undergo the full initiation into the life of the Church and receive the grace to proclaim and live the message of the Gospel.
Parents are required to attend a Sacramental Preparation Meeting as they walk this journey of faith in the life of the Church with their children. The children are also required to choose a sponsor for themselves to accompany them in their journey. For more details, please click this link.
For the adult Catholics who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation, special catechism classes are conducted twice a year to prepare them to receive the Sacrament, Mid February to April and Mid September to November.
Beside these batches, preparation classes are conducted all through out the year.
